For the brand Centro Comercial Viva shopping center project belonging to Grupo Éxito business group, located in Laureles neighborhood in the city of Medellín, we created the concept and the architectural development. We started identifying significant environmental characteristics, like bay trees and neighborhood life to draw up design guidelines and premises. From there, we devised transversal elements that defined the brand, and these two significant elements contributed to raising this shopping center’s quality, for the shopping center aims to interest visitors to walk around and feel comfortable and motivated as if they were at home.
Evaluation and diagnostic
Analysis and diagnostic of existing commercial spaces to propose short-term term improvement strategies.
Referring to the case of Centro Comercial Oviedo shopping center, in Medellín, we formulated a proposal for the shopping center’s future growth depending on the needs perceived on an initial diagnostic. This focused on existing architecture, pedestrian flows and paths and the shopping center’s new needs depending on a new consumer’s demands, always seeking to live complete evoking experiences. This approach is based on understanding current consumers who are constantly seeking sensations that stimulate their minds and motivate their hearts when they walk down commercial spaces making them their own. We focus on creating friendly for visitors emphasizing spaces including the presence of nature. Possible future growth was also foreseen for the new spaces that though shopping center wishes to give its clients keeping the Brand’s DNA; this has always formed the central axis around which the master plan of the project has revolved.
Design consultancy
